Description
Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide identical to native gonadotropin-releasing hormone.
Mechanism: Pulsatile administration activates pituitary GnRH receptors to drive endogenous LH and FSH release, preserving the natural hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal feedback loop. Continuous administration desensitises the receptor and suppresses gonadotropin output – the basis of GnRH agonist therapy.
Research findings: Used clinically for hypothalamic amenorrhea, pulsatile delivery research, and gonadotropin secretion diagnostics. Reference compound in HPG-axis pulsatility research.
Handling: Lyophilized peptide. Store sealed at -20°C for long-term stability or 2-8°C short-term. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or 0.6% acetic acid as appropriate to the molecule.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption. This material is intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory and preclinical research applications conducted by qualified personnel.
