Description
ACE-031 is a recombinant fusion protein combining the extracellular domain of activin receptor type IIB with a human IgG1 Fc region.
Mechanism: Acts as a soluble decoy receptor, binding and sequestering myostatin, activin A and GDF11 before they can engage native ActRIIB on muscle. Releases muscle from constitutive negative growth signalling.
Research findings: Phase 2 trials in Duchenne muscular dystrophy reported lean-mass gains and increases in alkaline phosphatase. Pre-clinical work documents muscle hypertrophy and reduced fibrosis in muscular dystrophy and sarcopenia models.
Handling: Lyophilized peptide. Store sealed at -20°C for long-term stability or 2-8°C short-term. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or 0.6% acetic acid as appropriate to the molecule.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption. This material is intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory and preclinical research applications conducted by qualified personnel.
