Description
Survodutide (BI 456906) is a fatty-acid-acylated dual agonist of the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors developed for once-weekly dosing in metabolic and hepatic research.
Mechanism: Balanced GLP-1 and glucagon receptor activation produces appetite suppression alongside increased basal metabolic rate and hepatic lipid oxidation.
Research findings: Phase 2 obesity trials reported mean weight reductions of approximately 19% at 46 weeks on the highest dose. A separate phase 2 MASH cohort showed resolution of metabolic-associated steatohepatitis in 83% of participants, positioning it as a leading candidate in liver-disease research pipelines.
Handling: Lyophilized peptide. Store sealed at -20°C for long-term stability or 2-8°C short-term. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or 0.6% acetic acid as appropriate to the molecule.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption. This material is intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory and preclinical research applications conducted by qualified personnel.
