Description
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide ghrelin receptor agonist of the original GHRP family.
Mechanism: Engages GHS-R1a to drive pulsatile GH release from the pituitary. More pronounced appetite stimulation than GHRP-2 due to higher activity at ghrelin receptors in the arcuate nucleus.
Research findings: Documented in pharmacology literature to elevate GH and to increase short-term food intake. Used as a reference ghrelin mimetic in appetite, GH-release and ghrelin-receptor pharmacology research.
Handling: Lyophilized peptide. Store sealed at -20°C for long-term stability or 2-8°C short-term. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or 0.6% acetic acid as appropriate to the molecule.
For research purposes only. Not for human consumption. This material is intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory and preclinical research applications conducted by qualified personnel.
